This digital painting is inspired by the religious paintings in tabernacle frames and frescoes from the Italian Renaissance where the use gold leaf was prevalent in the pieces of important religious persons. Alexandra Daddario who previously played Annabeth Chase in the film series, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, now becomes ATHENA in my rendition of the Greek goddess of wisdom and battle strategy who's famous for cursing her priestess, Medusa.
